We developed an assistive technology to automate the care process for patients with dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Alzheimer is the most common form of dementia, affecting up to 70% of all people with dementia. For Alzheimer’s patients, the biggest risk factor for having Alzheimer’s disease is increasing age, with three in ten people over 85 having dementia. The lack of access to assitive technologies and age-care facilities are putting in risk our senior population.
For Alzheimer’s patients, we developed assistive technologies to automate the care process for patients with dementia and Alzheimer’s, thus allowing them to have more autonomy and increasing their independence from carers and family in their daily lives. Along with an automatic dose medication system.
